Luplus is the Spirit of Time and appears in Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana and Atelier Iris 3: Grand Phantasm.
Although extremely rare, Luplus is most often seen with his trusted friend Arlin in Atelier Iris. According to the storyline, it is said that Arlin once saved his life and has been following Arlin ever since.
Role in Atelier Iris[]
When Arlin was turned to stone trying to defeat Mull, Luplus used his powers to reverse back time in order to save Arlin's life. However, his actions are dangerous because he could risk losing his own life in the process. But regardless, he does it anyway to return the favor.
It is possible to make a pact with Luplus if you manage to get Arlin back in your party in the bonus data where you defeated Amalgam in the final battle. Load the bonus data and head back to the base to trigger a scene where there's a man appearing at Ka Luda's Playground. You need the float ability to enter this new dungeon where it is located on a boulder near the southwest entrance. Once Arlin rejoins the party, so will Luplus.
Atelier Iris 3[]
Luplus; Follower of Time, is encountered in the Grand Garden of Ishtar. Forced into a battle against Mana Boss, once defeated, Iris made a pact with her and bestows upon the player the Edge's final Blades Master. Edge's blade when in this form is book. This form trademark abilty is "Time Refresh", which re-arrange the action order card to when the battle start. If the party have enough speed to begin with, they will usually-always perform action first.
When summoned in battle by Iris, Luplus will cast Haste that afflict all party, quickening their action order.
Etymology[]
"Luplus" is derived from the Latin word "lupus", meaning "wolf".
